Nielsen Psychological Services offers a variety of counseling services including individual therapy for children, teens, and adults.  We provide telehealth services within the state of Colorado, as well as in-person services at our Golden, Colorado office location. Dr. Nielsen has specialty training in behaviorism, the core of cognitive-behavioral therapy, and uses a person-centered approach. 

During your first session with Nielsen Psychological Services, your therapist will ask you questions to get to know you better and understand what brings you to counseling. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the counseling process.

Nielsen Psychological Services provides the flexibility to choose private pay and not use insurance. If insurance does not cover the full cost of services, clients arre billed for the remaining balance. 

In full transparency, here are the direct pay service fees: 

Individual Sessions (50-minute session)                                            $175

Couples Sessions (50-minute session)                                               $225

Family & parent consultation and support                   

                      50-minute session                                                              $175

                      90-minute session                                                             $250
