Elizabeth Groom is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and holds a Masters of Science in Forensic Psychology from the University of York (2012) in England. She has provided case management, school-based therapy, co-response with law enforcement, as well as individual and group therapy. She has assessment experience, including pre-employment evaluations for first responder candidates. In fact, Elizabeth created and presented on topics for first responders, including burnout, direct and vicarious trauma, organizational stress,
compassion fatigue, and relationship navigation.
Elizabeth often incorporates mindfulness into her practice and uses Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to attend to trauma, depression, anxiety, and coping with daily stressors. Her aim is to help clients find ways to better cope with stressful situations, regulate difficult emotions, set healthy boundaries, and heal relationships.
Kaitlynne Reiter completed her Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology at the University of Denver where she developed a passion for working with individuals involved in the criminal legal system. She provided services to individuals who committed sexual offenses to help them understand their behaviors and develop tools to reduce risk of sexual reoffending. Kaitlynne has been committed to serving marginalized individuals and people who have experienced discrimination. She particularly enjoys working with people who have disordered personality traits and relationship problems.
At the center of Kaitlynne’s passion lies trauma and identity work, which she uses to help clients find the source of distressing thoughts and behaviors. Kaitlynne welcomes every part of the
individual in the therapeutic space; there are no “bad” parts. She is committed to keeping the therapy environment free of judgment, using curiosity about the whole person to better understand how they are behaving and illuminate the decisions that are disrupting their life.
Kaitlynne has experience in trauma-informed care, identity work, Internal Family Systems, CBT and DBT, and EMDR. She is also open to exploring other treatment modalities that are pragmatic and effective for her clients.
Neeka is completing a clinical rotation with us as part of her Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program at Johns Hopkins University. She brings over four years of inpatient nursing experience at the VA, where she cared for veterans living with trauma, mood disorders, substance use, eating disorders, and psychosis. She also has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including immigrant and minority populations.
In addition to her U.S. clinical experience, Neeka serves as a lead coach with The Mission Within, where she facilitates group psychedelic-assisted therapy (PAP). She also co-developed the first GPAP training program for Ukrainian veterans with combat-related trauma, reflecting her dedication to advancing innovative, culturally responsive approaches to healing in conflict-affected communities.
Drawing on training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and an Internal Family Systems (IFS) framework, Neeka integrates evidence-based psychiatry with principles of holistic medicine. She also speaks Russian, which strengthens her ability to provide culturally responsive care. Her goal is to empower clients in their healing journey and help them reconnect with resilience, meaning, and wholeness.
At the heart of Neeka’s work is a passion for supporting individuals through trauma, intergenerational trauma, and a wide range of mental health challenges. She believes in creating a safe, welcoming space where every part of a person can be heard and valued without judgment.
Daniel De La Torre completed a Masters’ degree in Applied Psychology at Regis University. Daniel is a bilingual mental health professional with a unique background in crisis intervention, psychometric assessment, and public safety. Fluent in Spanish and English, he has worked in high-pressure environments ranging from emergency 911 response to community-based mental health care.
Daniel currently serves as a mental health crisis clinician for the city of Denver and a psychometrician in a private practice, where he provides cognitive assessments primarily for Spanish-speaking clients recovering from trauma. His past experience includes supporting individuals with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and chronic instability through trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
Known for his calm presence and sharp clinical instincts, Daniel specializes in de-escalation, rapid assessment, and helping clients find clarity in moments of crisis. He is passionate about empowering underserved communities and creating safe, supportive environments where recovery and growth are possible.
As Director of Operations at Nielsen Psychological Services, Jess ensures that the day-to-day functioning of the practice runs seamlessly—so clients and clinicians can focus on what matters most. With a background in program development, team leadership, and operational strategy, Jess brings nearly a decade of experience building efficient systems and supporting organizational growth. She has a proven track record of launching and scaling initiatives in both startup and nonprofit environments, always with a focus on people-centered solutions. Jess is deeply committed to integrating equity, accessibility, and inclusion into all business practices, ensuring that the care clients receive—and the workplace culture that supports it—reflects these core values.
